175-25 District 12 Cuyahoga Full-Service Facility Lawn Care

Background
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide lawn care services for local lots in District 12, Cuyahoga County. The goal of this contract is to establish pricing for lawn care services that meet the needs of the Department while promoting competition among vendors.

Work Details
The awarded vendor will provide comprehensive lawn care services including:
- Mowing and trimming of lawn areas for approximately fourteen (14) cuts per season between April 1st and October 30th, maintaining turf height between three (3) and four (4) inches, and four (4) to five (5) inches during dry weather.

- Trimming grass within two (2) days of mowing to maintain neat edges along buildings, sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and fences.

- Pre-season cleanup between April 1st and April 15th which includes:
- Cleaning/raking to remove leaves and debris.
- Trimming/pruning of bushes, shrubs, hedges, ornamental trees, and grasses.
- Spot thatching, applying topsoil and seeding as needed.
- Leveling and reseeding areas damaged by snow removal operations.

- Blowing clippings off walkways, parking lots, and entryways after mowing.

- Coordination with ODOT for scheduling and administration through a single contact point.

- Compliance with safety regulations including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue until October 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
Lawn care services will be performed at various locations within District 12 in Cuyahoga County.
