Tree Trimming

Background
The Village of Cobleskill is seeking bids for tree trimming services in two specific areas: Bid #1 for Village Veteran’s Park and Bid #2 for the Village Street Right of Way. The goal of this contract is to maintain the health and safety of trees in these public spaces, ensuring they are trimmed properly to remove dead branches and manage growth.

Work Details
Bid #1 involves tree trimming in Veteran’s Park, requiring the removal of dead branches and new growth around all trees on the property, with a height clearance of 10 feet over sidewalks. Bids must include the removal and disposal of all cut branches, provision of necessary equipment and manpower, safety and signage equipment, and restoration of the property to its pre-work condition.

Bid #2 covers tree trimming along specified village streets including Campus Drive, Canterberry Drive, Chapel Street, Cleveland Avenue, Crabapple Lane, Davies Lane, Grandview Drive, Grove Street, Jefferson Avenue, Settles Mountain Road, Lincoln Avenue, MacArthur Avenue, Maddison Terrace, North Street, Overlook Drive, Parkway Drive, Park Place, Pleasant View Drive, Prospect Street, Quarry Street, Union Street, Washington Avenue, and South Grand Street. The work requires maintaining a 5-foot distance from the curb line and a minimum height clearance of 15 feet above the road surface while staying 10 feet away from utility lines. All branches cut must be removed and disposed of by the bidder who must also provide their own equipment and manpower as well as applicable DOT approved signage and flaggers.

Period of Performance
The contract term is set for one year from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Village Veteran’s Park and along various streets within the Village of Cobleskill located in Schoharie County.

Bidder Requirements
There are no set-aside certifications required for this bid. Bidders must provide a non-collusion certificate with their submission. Successful bidders must obtain workers’ compensation and disability insurance for employees as well as general liability insurance satisfactory to the Village. They must also provide sufficient security to ensure contract performance.
