DESCRIPTION:

Taconic DDSO Work Control has designated 9 trees at said location to be cut down, stump grinded, and have topsoil, grass seed, and straw install and all 9 tree locations to grade.

SCOPE OF WORK

  1. Cut down 9 marked standing trees and remove from property.
  2. Stump grind all 9 tree stumps to a minimum of 4 inches below grade.
  3. Fill in holes from stump grinding with topsoil. Place grass seed and straw over each location.
  4. Contractor is responsible to make repairs to any property or lawn damage from but not limited to machines, vehicles, or the felling of such trees.
  5. Motorized equipment and vehicles are prohibited from accessing the backyard due to underground utilities as well as, all motorized equipment and vehicles shall remain at all times on pavement.

All contractors and subcontractors submitting bids or performing
construction work on public work projects or private projects covered
by Article 8 of the Labor Law are required to register with the New
York State Department of Labor under Labor Law Section 220-i.

Background
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking contractors to perform tree removal services at the South Chodikee IRA facility. The goal of this contract is to safely remove designated trees while ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding environment and property.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Cut down 9 marked standing trees and remove them from the property.
2. Stump grind all 9 tree stumps to a minimum of 4 inches below grade.
3. Fill in holes from stump grinding with topsoil, and place grass seed and straw over each location.
4. Make repairs to any property or lawn damage caused by the work, including damage from machines, vehicles, or tree felling.
5. Ensure that motorized equipment and vehicles do not access the backyard due to underground utilities, and that all equipment remains on pavement at all times.

The bid price must include all materials, labor, disposal fees, and site clean-up.

Period of Performance
The work is to be completed within 60 days of receiving the purchase order, with operations scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The contract will be performed at the South Chodikee IRA facility located at 102 South Chodikee Lake Rd., Highland, NY 12528.
