TNH315-2025-Glass Repair and Replacement

Background
The Town of North Hempstead is seeking qualified contractors for the TNH315-2025 Glass Repair and Replacement project. This contract aims to provide on-call glass repair and replacement services throughout the Town, including various structures owned by the Town. The goal is to ensure timely and efficient maintenance of glass installations, enhancing the safety and aesthetics of public buildings.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for labor, materials, equipment, and appliances necessary for:
1) Repairing and replacing glass (and surrounding structures) at Town-owned buildings;
2) Troubleshooting existing glass issues;
3) Installing new glass;
4) Removing and disposing of materials associated with the work.

The contractor must use up-to-date materials, with no obsolete items allowed without prior approval. Subcontracting requires Town approval, with specific conditions regarding costs and compliance with prevailing wage laws. The contractor must adhere to local building codes and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be valid for two years from the date of award, with options to renew for two additional one-year periods at the Town's discretion. The Town may also extend any term for up to 90 days.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the Town of North Hempstead, including but not limited to Town Hall facilities, public works departments, community centers, parks, and other municipal properties.
