This Event, IFB 24/25-156MC is issued by the State University of New York at Stony Brook (herein after referred to as SUNY ) to solicit proposals to provide all labor, equipment, materials, associated supplies, and services necessary and in accordance with the bid specifications, to perform as required Maintenance, Programming, Upgrade and Repair/Replacement of Carrier i-Vu Building Management Systems (BMS) installed at various buildings located on Main Campus, Campus Residences, Southampton Campus and all other off site properties owned or operated by the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Stony Brook, New York 11794, as herein described delivered FOB Destination in accordance with the terms of IFB 24/25-156MC.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference:
The Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for April 28th, 2025 at 1:30 PM EST. The conference will be held in Conference Room X, Building 17 (Procurement Office) Research & Development Park, 1512 Development Drive, Stony Brook, NY 11794

Background
The State University of New York at Stony Brook (SUNY) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB 24/25-156MC) to solicit proposals for the maintenance, programming, upgrade, and repair/replacement of Carrier i-Vu Building Management Systems (BMS) across various locations including the Main Campus, Campus Residences, Southampton Campus, and other off-site properties.
The goal is to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the BMS systems installed in multiple buildings used for residential, office, and recreational purposes.
Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and associated supplies necessary for the following services:
- Maintenance and programming of Carrier i-Vu BMS.
- Regular inspections and testing of system components including sensors, actuators, control panels, and network connections.
- Calibration and adjustment of sensors to maintain accuracy.
- Software/hardware updates to address vulnerabilities and improve functionality.
- Data backup and monitoring to ensure system performance.
- Alarm system verification to ensure proper notifications for malfunctions.
- Network maintenance to check connectivity and stability.
- Documentation of all inspections, calibrations, repairs performed on the BMS system.
- Integration with third-party BACnet and Modbus devices as needed.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on or about June 1, 2025, with a term of 2 years and an option for one 3-year extension.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations owned or operated by SUNY Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a list of at least three references demonstrating experience with similar services over the past five years. Technicians assigned must have at least five years of experience with Carrier i-Vu BMS and hold certifications from the Carrier Controls Expert Program - Encompass System (ES).
Bidders are required to submit proof of adequate staffing levels including a minimum of three certified technicians available for service.
