Baruch College of The City University of New York seeks to procure installation services, including all necessary labor and professional expertise, for the installation of Meraki cameras, network cabling, and the mounting of network switches, as outlined by the College's specifications pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority under State Finance Law 163(6). This procurement opportunity is limited to New York State businesses certified according to Article 15-A of the New York State Executive Law. Any purchase that results from this advertisement shall be governed by the terms and conditions of this advertisement (including without limitation, any attached specifications and any other terms and conditions attached hereto or incorporated herein by reference) and by the University's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions and Appendix A, Standard Clauses for New York State Contracts which are incorporated herein by reference with the same effect as it is written.

IMPORTANT DATES:

MANDATORY SITE VISIT: Monday, December 23, 2024, AT 10:00 AM in the Front Lobby of the Information Technology Building (ITB) at 151 E 25th Street, New York, NY 10010 (Building H).

LAST DATE FOR QUESTIONS: Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Questions must be emailed to the College RFQ Administrator noted above on or before 10:00 AM. NO PHONE CALLS OR FAX WILL BE ACCEPTED

RFQ DUE DATE: Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Vendor MUST complete the RFQ Form and submit via email (devon.hariprashad@baruch.cuny.edu) with all supporting documentation applicable to the College RFQ Administrator.

THE RESTRICTED PERIOD HAS BEGUN. The Procurement Lobbying Act (PLA) Applies to this Solicitation. The restricted period began with the publication of this ad. Compliance Procurement Lobbying Act Required Forms: Vendor are required to complete, sign and submit the following forms:

Offerer's Affirmation of Understanding of and Agreement pursuant to State Finance Law 139-j (3) and 139-j (6) (b)

  1. Offerer's Disclosure of Prior Non-Responsibility Determinations and Certification of Compliance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k .
  2. Under the requirements of the State Procurement Lobbying Act, all communications regarding advertised projects are to be channeled through the Office of University Controller (*Designated Contacts). Until a designation is made, communication with any other CUNY employees concerning this project that is determined to be an attempt to influence the procurement may result in disqualification.

Contact with CUNY: Under the PLA requirements, all communications regarding advertised projects are to be channeled through the Designated Contact. Communication for this procurement initiated by or on behalf of an interested vendor through others other than the Designated Contact may constitute an impermissible contact under NYS law and could disqualify that vendor.

Background
Baruch College of The City University of New York is seeking to procure installation services for Meraki cameras, network cabling, and the mounting of network switches. This procurement is limited to New York State businesses certified under Article 15-A of the New York State Executive Law. The goal is to enhance the College's security infrastructure through the installation of advanced camera systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and professional expertise necessary for the installation of various Meraki cameras, network cabling (Cat 6A), and mounting of network switches as specified by the College. The College will supply all hardware necessary for installation, including networking cables, patch panels, networking jacks, cameras, camera mounting hardware, and screws.

The estimated total labor required for this project is 1,200 hours. Specific tasks include:
1. Installation of structured cabling to connect cameras to network switches.
2. Cable termination to camera and patch panel with connectivity testing.
3. Installation of Meraki cameras at designated locations with documentation of serial numbers and locations.
4. Removal of existing cameras where necessary.
5. Mounting and installation of Meraki switches with documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract term is one year from the date agreed upon by the University, commencing upon receipt of notice from the College accompanied by a Purchase Order.
