Description

The Work includes drilling of a bedrock well with pitless adapter and well cap capable of producing a minimum of 5 GPM for public water supply for the New York State Parks Department. The Contractor shall conduct the pump test and collect water quality samples. Contractor to supply temporary power for the drilling and pump testing operations. Expected well depth is up to 500 feet and will be paid. Contractor to obtain/assist with permits. If 5GPM is not achieved after 500ft, ORPHP will evaluate further work to reach the target.

Permanent electrical connection and watermain to be installed by others.

Background
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking to drill a bedrock water well at Lake Sebago for public water supply. The goal of this contract is to provide a reliable source of water that meets the minimum production requirement of 5 gallons per minute (GPM). This project is part of the agency's mission to maintain and enhance recreational facilities within state parks.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Drilling a bedrock well with a pitless adapter and well cap capable of producing a minimum of 5 GPM.
- Conducting a pump test and collecting water quality samples.
- Supplying temporary power for drilling and pump testing operations.
- Obtaining or assisting with necessary permits.

The expected well depth is up to 500 feet, with payment based on actual final depth. If the target yield is not achieved after drilling to 500 feet, further evaluation will be conducted by OPRHP. Permanent electrical connections and water mains will be installed by others. The contractor must also provide detailed construction plans, material specifications, and compliance certifications.

The contract is for a one-time service with an expected completion date by May 30, 2025.
