Background
The State University of New York College at Geneseo (SUNY Geneseo) is seeking a qualified vendor to migrate its existing Drupal 10 website to WordPress. This initiative is part of SUNY's discretionary procurement authority under NYS Education Law ยง355(5)(a). The goal of the contract is to ensure a seamless transition with minimal downtime while optimizing user experience and preserving content integrity, taxonomy, and metadata.

Work Details
The project includes migrating approximately 6,550 published pages from geneseo.edu and 450 pages from Scene Magazine to a new WordPress site hosted on a cloud-based solution. Key tasks include:

- Accurate migration of all content, media, and metadata from Drupal 10 (custom theme built on Bootstrap 5) to WordPress (using the Divi theme), ensuring functional parity or improvements.

- Content will be migrated into WordPress's native Block Editor (Gutenberg).

- High-visibility pages will be manually redesigned in Divi by Geneseo staff post-migration.

- Ensure each subsite has independent menus and provide a plan for migrating existing navigation structures.

- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA and GDPR standards during the migration process.

- Identify and flag any major accessibility concerns encountered during migration that may require in-house remediation.

- Preserve SEO metadata including titles, descriptions, and schema markup.

- Assist in vetting and installing plugins for custom site functionality, including pre-identified plugins such as Divi, PublishPress Permissions Pro, miniOrange SSO, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), CPT UI (Custom Post Type UI), Imagify, WP Rocket, and an SEO plugin like Yoast or AIOSEO.

- Conduct post-migration QA testing to verify content transfer accuracy, link functionality, and compliance with accessibility standards.
