Commercial Laundry Equipment

Background
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) #2024-29 to procure commercial laundry equipment, specifically washers and dryers, for correctional facility laundry areas.

The goal of this contract is to establish a Purchase Authorization (PA) Contract that allows correctional facilities throughout New York State to purchase these machines as needed. The contract will last for five years, starting from May 1, 2025, or upon approval by the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC). Bidders must be manufacturers or authorized distributors/resellers of the products offered.

Work Details
The contract involves providing commercial washing machines and dryers with the following specifications:
- Bidder must be a manufacturer or an authorized distributor/reseller.
- Bidders can bid on multiple lots but must bid on all types listed in a lot.
- Dryers must be available in both electric and gas models.
- Used or refurbished products are not allowed.
- Training for facility personnel and rigging for each machine delivered is required, including installation and removal of old machines if requested.
- Vendor must accommodate drainage specific to the ordering facility without requiring plumbing services.
- A five-year warranty on key components and a one-year parts & labor warranty are mandatory.
- Any upgrades or improvements in machine models during the contract term must be offered by the vendor.
- Delivery of washing machines shall be F.O.B. destination to the requesting correctional facility.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of five years starting from May 1, 2025, or upon OSC approval.

Place of Performance
The equipment will be delivered to various correctional facilities throughout New York State.
