Description

The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for a Sewer Main Repair/Replace at our Cobblestone 106 IRA located at 106 Cobblestone Ter, Newark, NY 14513. Contractor will be responsible for mandatory site visit to take place on Monday, September 30, 2024 @ 9:30am to verify knowledge of the area for which service is being requested prior to bid submission. Bids will not be accepted before the site visit or from vendors that do not attend this site visit. Vendors may also be disqualified from bidding if they arrive late to the site visit.

This is a NYS public works project, and prevailing wages must be paid.

Background
The Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Services Office (FLDDSO) is soliciting bids for a Sewer Main Repair/Replace project at Cobblestone 106 IRA, located at 106 Cobblestone Terrace, Newark, NY 14513.

The agency's mission is to provide support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This contract aims to repair and replace the sewer main to ensure proper sanitation and functionality of the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Conduct a mandatory site visit on September 30, 2024, at 9:30 AM to assess the area.
2. Determine the condition of the cast iron pipe using a camera to evaluate how invasive repairs will be.
3. Expose and open the drainpipe.
4. Run a camera down the drainpipe to check its condition.
5. Repair as necessary by unplugging or replacing sections of the pipe where excavated and epoxy sleeve from kitchen to bathroom.
6. Block off the excavated area per DDSO specifications for safety.
7. Replace soil in excavation areas and tamp down properly.
8. Pour concrete in excavated areas, ensuring stability by drilling into existing concrete and grouting in rebar pieces before pouring new concrete.
9. Clean the site daily, securing all materials and ensuring no debris is left unsecured.
10. Schedule a quality control inspection with the Point of Contact upon project completion.

Period of Performance
The work is to be completed within 30 days after contract award unless modified.

The contract will be performed at 106 Cobblestone Terrace, Newark, NY 14513.
