Enclosed is a request for quotation (RFQ) to perform the attached scope of work.
Mandatory site visit will be held 10/10/24 @ 11:00am at the project location listed .
Please confirm your attendance prior to the site visit by contacting the Project Manager listed. Attendance will be recorded. Please be sure to sign the sign in sheet (provided by the Maintenance staff conducting the site visit). The sign in sheet is a separate entity from the resident visitor's log. When signing in, be sure to check the project name listed on the sign in sheet to ensure you are recording your attendance correctly. Failure to do so will cause you to be ineligible to submit a quote. There are no exceptions. Please write clearly for corresponding purposes and make sure you include an email address and phone number where you can be reached. Late arrivers at the site will not be allowed to sign in, participate, nor submit a quote for this project.
Method of Award:
This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Upon request, vendor must demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and its subject to vendor responsibility determination. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. Please note, all staff working at the project site will be required to sign an attendance sheet for record purposes. This includes the residence visitor log and/or an attendance sheet provided by the Maintenance Department. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest.
Prevailing Wages: Schedule PRC #: 2024012191
NYS Labor law requires that all contracted employees performing maintenance, repairs or capital improvements in state owned buildings receive the prevailing wage and supplements rate for the occupation in which they are working. Certified payroll record/s MUST be submitted at the time of invoicing. . Without submittal of certified payroll record/s, payment will not be made. Background
The Broome Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO) is seeking a contractor to perform a complete renovation of the bathroom located at 376 Prospect St, Binghamton, NY. The goal of this project is to modernize the facility while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards. This is a New York State Public Works project, which mandates the payment of prevailing wages for all workers involved.
Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Demolition and removal of existing bathroom fixtures including toilet, sink, vanity, and flooring.
2. Installation of new fixtures including a new toilet (American Standard 'Cadet' model), new vanity (Wyndham Collection 'Miranda'), sink, faucet (Delta Vesna), bathtub (American Standard 'Princeton'), and grab bars.
3. Replacement of wall tiles and flooring with specified materials such as Crossville Tile and American Olean Unglazed Porcelain Mosaics.
4. All work must adhere to the Residential Code of New York State - 2020 Edition and include necessary plumbing and electrical modifications as per specifications.
5. A one-year warranty on materials and labor is required from the contractor.

The work must be completed within 60 days after receiving the purchase order, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for 10/10/24 at 11:00 AM.
