Asbestos Testing, Town of Lexington CDBG

Background
The Town of Lexington is seeking proposals from New York State Certified Asbestos Testing Firms to provide limited asbestos surveys (pre-renovation) in conjunction with a recently awarded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Grant #639HR300-24.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to receive responses from pre-qualified firms/individuals to perform these surveys for the Lexington Housing Rehabilitation Grant. Project locations have yet to be identified, but the winning bidder will enter into a contractual agreement covering the outlined services for the duration of the grant, which runs through December 31, 2026.

Work Details
The selected firm will provide the following services: conduct limited asbestos surveys (pre-renovation), ensure compliance with EPA and HUD regulations, perform work according to NYSDOL Code Rule 56, and provide a report/certification detailing what was sampled and results for each sample collected.

The fee schedule includes charges for site visits, reports, and samples (5 friable samples and 5 non-friable samples). All jobsites will be within the Town of Lexington, NY. Additional travel expenses may apply.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed until December 31, 2026.
