40 Pelham Structural Assessment

Background
The City of New Rochelle is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional engineering services for the 40 Pelham Structural Assessment project. The project involves inspecting and assessing the building’s ground level and superstructure for structural deficiencies. The selected firm will provide a technical report outlining these deficiencies along with recommendations for repairs and associated costs to assist the City in budgeting.

Work Details
The project entails:
1. Conducting inspections and assessments of the building’s ground level slab and superstructure, focusing on identifying structural deficiencies.
2. Providing a technical report that includes:
- Recommendations for rehabilitation and repairs to the concrete slab system.
- Visual inspection of the superstructure (columns, beams, walls) with recommendations for further evaluation if necessary.
3. Deliverables include:
- A schedule of proposed testing and inspections.
- A Preliminary Assessment Report by June 27th, 2025, and a Final Assessment Report by July 18th, 2025, which will include cost estimates for repairs.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award with key milestones including a Preliminary Assessment Report due on or before June 27th, 2025, and a Final Assessment Report due on or before July 18th, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the municipal building located at 40 Pelham Road, New Rochelle, NY.

Bidder Requirements
Firms certified as Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) are strongly encouraged to participate. Additionally, selected firms must demonstrate adequate proof of insurance as outlined in Attachment C of the RFP.
