DRC Water Heaters

Background
The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is seeking proposals for water heater replacement services at the Desert Regional Center (DRC), a facility that assists individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DRC has been serving the Las Vegas and Clark County communities for over 40 years. The goal of this contract is to replace aging water heaters to ensure continued service and compliance with safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, materials, labor, and permits to remove and replace eight existing natural gas hot water heaters at the Desert Regional Center located at 1391 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. The new units will be AO Smith Cyclone 60-gallon models. Specific tasks include:

- Removal of existing thermostats, circulator pumps, control relays, expansion tank, hot water tank, and unnecessary piping.

- Installation of new water heaters in various buildings within the center:
- Building 1301: one (1) water heater
- Building 1302: two (2) water heaters
- Building 1306: two (2) water heaters
- Building 1308: one (1) water heater
- Building 1309: one (1) water heater
- Building 1310: one (1) water heater

- Ensure all installations comply with Nevada/Clark County/Las Vegas building codes and manufacturer recommendations.

- Provide operation and maintenance manuals upon project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to last for four months, starting from June 1, 2025, pending Board of Examiners approval.
