Volcanic Cinders D-1

Background
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to establish a Price Agreement for Volcanic Cinder material intended for snow and ice control.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of necessary materials for effective road maintenance during winter conditions.

Work Details
The contract involves the supply of Volcanic Cinder material, which must meet specific material specifications:
- 100% passing through a ½ inch sieve
- 70-100% passing through a 3/8 inch sieve
- 0-16% passing through a #200 sieve.
Pumice is not accepted, and all cinders must be sandy and non-plastic.
Delivery of the material must occur within seven days after receipt of purchase order, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Vendors are required to notify Patrol Supervisors of delivery times and dates. Deliveries will be unloaded at designated sites using end dump trucks.
Payment will be made upon complete delivery to designated Patrol Yards based on tonnage weight on certified scales provided by the vendor, with a copy of the net weight ticket required for each load.

Period of Performance
The term of this price agreement shall be for one year from the date of award, with an option to extend for up to three additional years on a year-by-year basis, not exceeding four years in total.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various NMDOT Patrol locations across New Mexico including Anthony, Cliff, Silver City, Lordsburg, Animas, Deming, Las Cruces, West Mesa, Hatch, Williamsburg, Winston, Magdalena, and Socorro.
