Background
The City of Trenton, New Jersey, is seeking proposals for professional architectural services to prepare construction documents and cost estimates for the rehabilitation of the Locust Hill Cemetery Interpretive Center located at 73 Hart Avenue.

This project aims to transform the existing structure into an interpretive center that will provide public access and education about the historical significance of the cemetery, which serves as a final resting place for over 140 African American citizens and honors Civil War veterans. The cemetery is historically significant and eligible for listing on both the National Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey Register of Historic Places.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all architectural services necessary to prepare construction documents and a comprehensive cost estimate. The work includes:
1. Preparation of Design Development Drawings and Construction Documents, which will be split into two sets: one for first-floor improvements to serve as a public interpretive center, and another for second-floor enhancements.
2. Conducting internal quality control reviews, assembling design phase documents, and submitting these packages to the Owner for review.
3. Deliverables include three full-size printed sets of drawings, electronic files in AutoCAD format, technical specifications in Microsoft Word format, cost estimates in Microsoft Excel format, and project schedules in Microsoft Project format.
4. Conducting virtual design meetings with the Owner at each level of completion to discuss review comments.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence immediately upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed from the Owner and is anticipated to be completed within a four-month period from kickoff to completion of all construction documents and permitting.

The work will be performed at Locust Hill Cemetery located at 73 Hart Avenue, Trenton, New Jersey.
