Background
The City of Fremont, Nebraska is issuing a solicitation for the 16th Street Asphalt Overlay project. This project aims to improve the roadway infrastructure by overlaying asphalt on 16th Street, enhancing safety and accessibility for the community.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all tools, labor, and materials necessary to complete the work required for the 16th Street Asphalt Overlay. The work includes:
- 2800 Tons of Asphalt
- Mill and overlay on 16th Street from Nye Street to Lincoln Avenue
- Associated work including curb ramps, rebuilding manholes and inlets, adjusting valves, and implementing erosion control measures.
All work must conform to the City of Fremont’s Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction.
Period of Performance
The contractor shall commence work as soon as practical after execution of the contract and must complete all work by September 30, 2025. Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day will be assessed for delays beyond this date.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed on 16th Street from Nye Street to Lincoln Avenue in Fremont, Nebraska.
Bidder Requirements
Contractors must obtain the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents from the City Engineer’s office. A non-refundable deposit of $60.00 is required for each hard copy set of Plans and Specifications. Digital copies may be obtained free of charge by emailing the office of Civil Engineer.
