UND Aerospace Flight Training Fleet

Background
The John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota (UND) is seeking proposals from industry partners to provide a training aircraft fleet and exceptional customer service.
The goal is to acquire newly manufactured flight training aircraft for deliveries starting in 2027, which will enhance the educational capabilities of UND Aerospace.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of the following types of aircraft:

1. Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL): Fixed landing gear, 4-place training aircraft, with or without 2-axis autopilot including trim control.

2. Airplane Multi Engine Land (AMEL): Retractable gear, Technically Advanced Aircraft.

3. Compliance with FAA CFR Part 23 Airworthiness Standards: Normal/Utility.

4. All electronic glass flight deck equipped with Garmin Avionics including electronic standby instrumentation.

5. Minimum mission endurance of 2.0 hours plus FAA regulatory reserve limits.

6. Maximum downtime between missions of 30 minutes for re-dispatch.

7. Matching replica FAA approved Aviation Training Device available from a reputable simulator manufacturer.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will be for 8 years, with an option for a 2-year extension, totaling up to 10 years.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
