Western Data Center Cooling Tower Refurbishment Project in North Carolina

Background
The NC Department of Information Technology is issuing this contract for the refurbishment of the cooling towers at the Western Data Center located in Forest City, North Carolina. The goal of this project is to improve efficiency and extend the useful life of the existing cooling towers.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Replacing the fill media in both cooling tower cells;
2) Replacing the hot water basins on both cells;
3) Replacing the hot water basin nozzles; and
4) Applying a 60 mil asphalt extended urethane coating to enhance durability.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed starting from the award date until completion, with bids due by May 14, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Western Data Center located at 1371 Old Caroleen Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a proper license as required under North Carolina state laws governing their respective trades. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a completed Bid Bond and Identification of HUB Certified/Minority Business Participation Form with their proposals. A performance bond and payment bond for 100% of the contract price will also be required.
