Water Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion Project

Background
The Town of Burnsville is seeking bids for the Water Treatment Plant Improvements project, which involves the construction of a 45,000-gallon equalization tank, effluent drain line, piping reconfiguration, filter media replacement, and structural repairs to the sedimentation basins. The project is funded by the North Carolina Department of Water Infrastructure through State Reserve Project (DWSRP) Grants and Loans.

Work Details
The project generally consists of constructing a 45,000-gallon equalization tank at the Town water treatment plant. It also includes approximately 1125 LF of 6-inch PVC effluent drain line, manholes and appurtenances to connect the equalization tank to the existing permitted drain system and sewer system. Additionally, it involves reconfiguration of the water treatment plant discharge piping, modifications to the raw water piping, replacement of the filter media, and miscellaneous structural repairs to the sedimentation basins.

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time on March 19, 2024.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the Town water treatment plant located in Burnsville, North Carolina.
