Water Improvement Project at Kerr Lake State Recreation Area

Background
The N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation is issuing this solicitation for the Kerr Lake State Recreation Area Water Improvement Project. The mission of the agency is to enhance and maintain natural resources for public enjoyment and recreation.

The goal of this contract is to improve the water distribution system within the park, ensuring safe and reliable water access for visitors.

Work Details
The project involves the installation of approximately 5,100 linear feet of 8-inch waterline, 3,400 linear feet of 6-inch waterline, and 3,900 linear feet of 4-inch waterline.

Additionally, it includes connections to the existing park potable water distribution system and disconnection of two existing wells. The work also encompasses all necessary valving, hydrants, meters, and backflow prevention devices as indicated in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed following the bid award on October 29, 2024, with specific timelines outlined in the contract documents.

The work will be performed at Kerr Lake State Recreation Area located in Henderson, North Carolina.
