Vocational Training Services Proposal Request for Johnston County Public Schools

Background
Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS) is seeking proposals for a service contract for Vocational Training Services. The goal is to provide community-based vocational training to students enrolled in the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) and Extended Content Standards (Life Skills) programs. This rebid aims to secure a minimum of six full-time job coaches who will assist these students in gaining vocational skills and experiences.

Work Details
The job coaches will be responsible for:

1. Providing vocational and academic training to juniors and seniors qualifying for services in the Exceptional Children’s Program, including orientation on business policies, assessment of work potential, matching students with training sites, and scheduling work experiences.

2. Completing required OCS/Life Skills paperwork as per JCPS policies, including documentation of service delivery and providing end-of-year evaluation data.

3. Assisting school personnel with student portfolio maintenance.

4. Communicating with referral agencies and school personnel regarding evaluations and rehabilitation plans.

5. Supervising students at job sites, documenting hours, evaluating performance, assisting with job searches, and developing competitive employment placements.

6. Enforcing compliance with workplace policies and aiding in identifying job training sites.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution following award and will extend from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within Johnston County Public Schools in Smithfield, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience providing Vocational Training Services to high school students, including details on staff availability for JCPS needs. They must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
