Supply and Installation of 32 Level-2 EV Charging Stations at Valerie Woodard Center, Charlotte, NC

Background
The Mecklenburg County Government is seeking proposals for the construction of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations as part of Phase 5 of their initiative. The goal is to enhance the infrastructure for electric vehicles at the Valerie Woodard Center, supporting the county's commitment to sustainability and modern transportation solutions.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the supply and installation of 32 Level-2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations at the Valerie Woodard Center located at 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.

The project requires a Single Prime Electrical Contractor to submit lump sum bids as indicated in the bidding documents. Bids must be made on standard forms provided by the County. A mandatory written Letter-of-Interest must be submitted to the County’s authorized Design Consultant, AeroRaq Engineering, Inc., at least 48 hours before the bid opening to be included on the official Bidders List. Additionally, a 5% bid bond is required, along with 100% performance and payment & material bonds.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to align with the project timeline outlined in the bidding documents, with bids due by November 19, 2024.

The contract will be performed at the Valerie Woodard Center located at 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
