Sports Officiating & Referee Services

Background
The City of Greensboro's Parks & Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide Sports Officiating Services for a three-year contract. The goal is to ensure the provision of trained and certified officials for various sports programs, enhancing the quality of recreational activities for the community.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing officials for Youth Tackle Football, Youth and Adult Basketball, Youth Baseball, Adult Softball, and Adult Kickball. Responsibilities include:

- Scheduling and training officials
- Ensuring all officials are certified through the North Carolina High School Athletic Association or relevant governing bodies
- Providing a list of training sessions
- Conducting annual background checks on officials
- Submitting reports on official performance
- Ensuring compliance with pre-game and post-game duties as outlined by the Parks & Recreation Department.

The contractor must also provide a detailed game fee schedule that includes charges per game played and cancellation fees.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on November 1, 2024, and will run through October 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Greensboro, NC, including parks and recreation centers designated for youth and adult sports events.
