Sports Officiating & Referee Services

Background
The City of Greensboro, through its Parks & Recreation Department, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide Sports Officiating Services for a three-year period. The goal is to ensure the successful management and officiating of approximately 1,800 games throughout the year for various sports programs catering to both youth and adults. The selected contractor will enter into a service agreement with the City, starting on November 1, 2024, and continuing until October 31, 2027.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing trained and certified officials for multiple sports including Youth Tackle Football, Youth and Adult Basketball, Youth Baseball, Adult Softball, and Adult Kickball. Responsibilities include:

- Scheduling and training officials
- Ensuring officials are certified through recognized bodies
- Providing a list of training sessions
- Conducting background checks on all officials annually
- Submitting reports on official performance
- Ensuring officials complete pre-game duties
- Managing game assignments with a minimum of 24 hours' notice

Additionally, the contractor must provide a detailed pricing structure for services rendered as outlined in Attachment A.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on November 1, 2024, and conclude on October 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Greensboro, NC as specified in the RFP.
