Renovation of Historic William R Davie House

Background
The NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is issuing a solicitation for the renovation of the Historic William R Davie House.
This project aims to preserve and restore the historical integrity of the house while ensuring it meets modern safety and functionality standards.

Work Details
The contract involves providing labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of the Historic William R Davie House Renovation.
Bids will be received for single prime construction contracts on a lump sum basis.
Specific work includes:
1. Alternate G-01: Providing historic reproduction wallpaper from Owner’s Preferred Manufacturer (Adelphi Paper Hangings).
2. Alternate G-02: Full Fire Alarm Replacement, including changing devices per drawings for Base Bid option and fully replacing the existing fire alarm system per drawings and specifications for Fire Alarm Add Alternate.
3. Alternate G-03: Providing emergency & exit lights from Owner’s Preferred Manufacturer and Model (Barron Lighting Group, NY900C Series).

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on September 17, 2024, with specific timelines to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The renovation will take place at the Historic William R Davie House located in Halifax, NC.
