Paving Renovation Services at Multiple Locations

Background
Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is seeking bids for paving renovations at multiple locations, including New Town Elementary School, Stallings Elementary School, Piedmont High School, and Porter Ridge High School. The goal of this project is to resurface and expand drive and parking areas to improve accessibility and safety in compliance with local, state, and national codes.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, permits, fees, inspections, etc., for a turnkey project as specified in the provided drawings and specifications. Key tasks include:
1. Resurfacing and expanding driveways and parking areas.
2. Compliance with ADA requirements.
3. Positive drainage construction to prevent ponding.
4. Installation of parking curbs made from a minimum of 5,000 PSI concrete.
5. Restriping existing parking layouts using approved Sherwin Williams traffic marking paint.
6. Reconstruction of areas with unsuitable soil using specified materials (8-inch ABC stone base for heavy traffic areas).
7. Construction of new parking areas with appropriate stone base and asphalt mixes for both common and larger vehicle traffic.
8. Daily cleanup of project areas and proper disposal of debris off school property.

Period of Performance
The anticipated Notice to Proceed is expected to be released on June 12, 2025, with all work closely scheduled to avoid disruption to school activities.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Union County, North Carolina, specifically at New Town Elementary School (1100 Waxhaw Indian Trail Rd S, Waxhaw), Stallings Elementary School, Piedmont High School, and Porter Ridge High School.
