Mowing Contract for Kelley Park & NE Walking Trail

Background
The City of Greensboro is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide mowing services for Keeley Park and the NE Walking Trail.
The Parks & Recreation Department aims to maintain these public spaces effectively, ensuring they are well-kept and accessible to the community.
This contract will involve an annual agreement for a period of three years, starting in 2025.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for mowing approximately 24 acres at Keeley Park, located at 4100 Keeley Rd, McLeansville, NC.
Services include:
- Weekly mowing from April 1st to November 1st, maintaining a height of 3 inches (3.5 inches during June to September) for lawn areas.
- Pond banks to be maintained at a height of 4.5 inches within four feet from the water's edge.
- Trimming around plant beds and immovable objects with weed eaters during each mowing session.
- Edging all walks and curbs weekly, blowing off debris with leaf blowers, and spraying cracks to control grass and weeds using environmentally low-impact pesticides.
- Prior to mowing, all trash and debris must be removed from the areas.
- All operations must ensure safety for park patrons and comply with environmental standards.
- The contractor must hold relevant licenses such as the NC Landscape Contractors’ License and provide background checks for employees working in the area.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on April 1, 2025, and conclude on November 1, 2028.
