Moore Square Park Dog Run Construction: Concrete Pad, Fencing, and Tree Protection

Background
The City of Raleigh, through its Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department, is issuing a solicitation for the construction of a new dog run at Moore Square Park. This project aims to enhance public park facilities and provide a designated area for dog owners and their pets.

The project is identified as Project #: 274-PR-MSDR-2025 and is scheduled for completion by April 2025.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Construction of a new concrete pad for the dog run.
2. Installation of 5-foot high vinyl-coated chain link fencing and gates around the dog run area.
3. Erection of tree protection fencing to safeguard existing trees within Moore Square Park located at 201 S. Blount Street, Raleigh, NC.
4. All work must comply with the specifications outlined in the project plans and project manual dated April 2025.

Period of Performance
The entire work required under this contract must be completed within 120 days from the date of Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate compliance with North Carolina General Statutes regarding contractor licensing and submit evidence of being licensed under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) in their proposals, aiming for at least 15% participation in contracts exceeding $300,000.
