Lawn Care Services for Cabarrus Youth Development Center, Concord, NC

Background
The North Carolina Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) is seeking to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract for Lawn Care Services for the Cabarrus Youth Development Center located in Concord, NC.

This facility, originally built in 1909, is North Carolina's first youth development center and encompasses 60 structures on approximately 100 acres of land, with only 23 structures currently in use. The center serves males and is a self-contained secure complex surrounded by a 15-foot-tall fence.

The goal of this contract is to ensure proper maintenance of the grounds to support the facility's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive lawn care services which include but are not limited to: mowing, trimming, edging, fertilization, weed control, aeration, and seasonal clean-up.

Specific tasks may involve maintaining the health and appearance of grass areas, flower beds, and any landscaped areas within the facility's grounds. The contractor must adhere to all safety regulations and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with state guidelines.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year starting from October 2, 2024 or the date of final contract execution, whichever is later.

The vendor must begin work within five business days of the effective date. There are options for renewal for up to two additional one-year terms at the discretion of the State.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Cabarrus Youth Development Center located at 822 McWhorter Road, Concord, NC 28027.
