Laundry Services for Campus Facilities

Background
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC Pembroke) was established in 1887 and serves a diverse student body, promoting excellence in education. The Business Services Office is seeking proposals for campus laundry services to support approximately 1600 residential students.

The goal is to provide open laundry services within university-owned facilities, ensuring compliance with ADA standards and incorporating modern technology such as wireless notifications for machine availability.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of laundry equipment across campus facilities. Specific requirements include:
- Provision of washers and dryers sufficient to meet usage demands as determined by UNC Pembroke.
- Maintenance of equipment and general upkeep, including compliance with inspection requirements.
- Installation of a notification system accessible via wireless devices.
- Ensuring all machines are ADA compliant.
- Replacement of existing laundry equipment with new machines at the start of a four-year renewal period (July 2032).

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of six years starting from July 1, 2025, with options for renewal that could extend the total duration up to twelve years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the University of North Carolina at Pembroke campus.
