Land Survey Services for Residential Development in Hobgood

Background
The Town of Hobgood has received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds aimed at replacing at least 2 houses on-site, with the potential to replace up to four.

The town is seeking local surveyors to provide residential land survey services as part of this initiative.

Work Details
The services required include boundary surveys of existing lots, which will encompass parcel boundaries and related improvements such as easements, encroachments, houses, accessory buildings, utility poles, and driveways.

Latitude and longitude coordinates must be included in the surveys. Boundary corners are to be marked with visible stakes. All surveys must comply with the 'NC Engineering and Land Surveying Act' (NCGS 89C) and the 'Mapping Requirements for Recordable Maps' (NCGS 47-30).

The survey plat must be a minimum size of 8½” X 14” and suitable for recording in both paper and electronic formats. The lots involved are generally less than ½ acre and are not located in a floodplain.

- Melissa Webb at 401/407 S Bay Street
- Robert Pierce at 410 S Bay Street
- Linda Bryant at 507 E. Commerce St.
- Elzatie Watson at 427 2nd St.
