Invitation for Bids: Indoor Shooting Range Replacement at Earl Butler Sheriff's Training Facility

Background
Cumberland County is soliciting informal bids for the Earl Butler Sheriff's Training Indoor Firing Range Replacement Project. This project aims to replace the existing indoor firing range at the Sheriff's Training Center located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Engineering & Infrastructure Department is overseeing this initiative to enhance training capabilities for law enforcement personnel.

Work Details
The facility should contain a complete package for a 2 Bay Range with fourteen (14) total lanes, each bay measuring 34' wide and rifle rated (5.56mm rated) for fixed position shooting. Specific components include:

- Target Retrievers: Fourteen (14) retrievers with 360-degree target turning, LED White & Police Strobe target lights, LCD local touch screen control in each booth, no drive cable downrange, target viewing camera mounted to trolley, hidden target clamp, and master control screen with wireless tablet controls.

- Five Rows of 2-foot Light Baffles made of 3/8" AR500 steel suitable for pistol and rifle use.

- Shooting Stalls: Class 2 ballistic rating with ballistic solid stall dividers, half-glass or full view glass stalls, non-ballistic solid stall ends, swing-up tables on all lanes, brass deflectors & muzzle blast barriers, sound absorbing wall panels made of PEPP or DuraPanel.

- Installation & Shipping: Includes full installation and training as well as shipping to the destination.

- Demolition: Includes demolition of the current indoor range system with onsite dumpster provided by the county for disposal and interior painting services.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a timeframe specified in the notice to proceed. The bidding period has been extended until April 4, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Sheriff’s Training Center located at 4710 Corporation Drive, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
