Horne Library Reroofing Project - Invitation for Informal Bids

Background
The State of North Carolina, through South Piedmont Community College, is seeking informal bids for the reroofing of the Horne Library Learning Resource Center located on the LLP Campus at 180 Ledbetter St., Polkton, NC 28135.
This project aims to enhance the structural integrity and waterproofing of the library's roof, ensuring it meets current standards and provides a long-lasting solution.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Leaving existing insulation and EPDM membrane in place while cutting the membrane loose at perimeter walls.
- Mechanically attaching a 1.5 inch isocyanurate insulation over the existing roof system.
- Mechanically attaching a 45 mil FiberTite membrane over the isocyanurate insulation and flashing the parapet walls with a 45 mil FiberTite membrane.
- The FiberTite membrane shall be Standard Off White and terminate under the existing coping.
- All roof penetrations must be flashed as approved by FiberTite.
- The roof system will come with a twenty (20) year watertight warranty from FiberTite.
- Proposals must include per linear foot cost for walk pads.
- The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and fees, as well as removing all trash and scrap material from the site.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence following bid acceptance and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the contract documents.
