Gull Rock Bridge Replacement Project

Background
The NC Wildlife Resources Commission is issuing this solicitation for the Gull Rock Bridge Replacement Project. This project aims to replace the existing timber bridge over Outfall Canal on the Gull Rock Game Land access road in Hyde County. It is part of SCO Project # 22-24799-01A and is intended to enhance access and safety in the area.

Work Details
The work involves replacing the existing timber bridge with a three-span cored slab bridge at the same location. Bids will be accepted for a Single Prime contract, and all proposals must be submitted as lump sum bids. Contractors are required to have proper licensing as per state laws governing their respective trades, specifically for Highway or Unclassified classifications. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for 100% of the contract price. Payment will be based on 95% of monthly estimates, with final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to follow the timeline set forth in the bidding documents. Bids are due by January 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at the Gull Rock Game Land access road off of SR 1164 (Outfall Canal Rd.) in Hyde County, North Carolina.
