Full-Service Coffee Shop Operations at ECU Health Sciences Student Center

Background
The State of North Carolina, through East Carolina University, is seeking a vendor to operate a full-service coffee shop at the Health Sciences Student Center. The contract will have an initial term of one year, with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms. The anticipated contract start date and restaurant business opening date is August 1, 2024. The University reserves the right to cancel the contract if the vendor does not meet its requirements and standards.

Work Details
The vendor is expected to provide a variety of food and beverage products including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, blended ice coffee beverages, espresso beverages, whole bean coffee, and related retail items. The vendor must be able to respond to seasonal menu preferences, changing customer expectations, and offer innovative specialized menus and coffee items.
The proposal should demonstrate the vendor's ability to open and operate a coffee shop operation or equivalent type operation successfully.

Period of Performance
The contract shall have an initial term of one year, beginning on the date of final Contract execution or August 1, 2024, whichever is later. Monthly rent will not change during the first year. At the end of the initial term, ECU has the option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms. The contract may be canceled with a thirty-day written notice.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the East Carolina University Health Sciences Student Center located at 400 West Campus Loop, Greenville, NC 27834.
