Elevator Upgrade Project for Fretwell at UNC Charlotte (Re-posting)

Background
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) is seeking to upgrade the existing elevators in the Fretwell building. The goal of this project is to enhance safety and comfort for occupants by replacing outdated components and modernizing the elevators to meet current codes and standards.

Work Details
The project involves upgrading existing elevators, which includes the replacement of obsolete and end-of-life components such as the elevator cab, cab finishes, pumps, motors, and other critical components that affect life safety and occupant comfort.

The work will be executed in phases to ensure that two elevators remain operational throughout the duration of the project.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed within a timeframe leading up to the closing date of May 8, 2025.
