Draughn Aquatic Center Exterior Modifications and Structure Installation Project

Background
The Town of Valdese is issuing a contract for the Draughn Aquatic Center Structure Project, aimed at enhancing the facility's exterior and functionality. The project is designed to improve usability and safety by modifying existing structures and installing new systems. Walter Robbs Architects, a Michael Graves Company, is responsible for the architectural design, while SKA Consulting Engineers will handle structural aspects.

Work Details
The project includes:
- Modifications to the exterior wall adjacent to the pool.
- Installation of pre-engineered aluminum framing with a membrane structure over the pool and pool deck.
- Installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the new structure.
- General construction work including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, civil, and audio/visual components as indicated in the bidding documents.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed within a specified number of consecutive calendar days as stated in the Supplementary Conditions and on the Bid Form after receiving a Notice to Proceed.

The work will be conducted at the Draughn Aquatic Center located at Massell Ave SW, Valdese, NC 28690.
