Dental Equipment Repair Services Solicitation

Background
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, Division of Comprehensive Health Services, seeks to establish a contractual agreement with qualified vendors to provide dental equipment repair services. This initiative aims to ensure the operational efficiency of dental services provided to approximately 34,000 offenders across thirty-three dental clinics located within or near correctional facilities in North Carolina. The goal is to maintain and repair all Department-owned dental equipment through a comprehensive service and parts replacement program.

Work Details
The vendor will provide a Repair Service and Parts Replacement Program for all major and minor dental equipment at the Department's clinics. Services include:

1. On-site repairs whenever possible; if not feasible, transportation of equipment for repairs is required.
2. Classification of equipment into 'Critical' (e.g., air compressors, x-ray units) and 'Urgent' categories.
3. Timely turnaround for repairs: Critical Equipment must be repaired within 48 hours; Urgent Equipment within 72 hours.
4. A loaner program may be offered but is not mandatory for contract award.
5. Documentation of each service call must be provided, including details on the work performed and technician's timings.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of one year starting from May 1, 2025, with options for two additional one-year renewals at the State's discretion.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations across North Carolina where the thirty-three dental clinics are situated.
