Bard Unit Replacement Services - On-Call Bids Required

Background
Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is seeking bids for the replacement of Bard Units on an on-call basis. The goal of this contract is to ensure the replacement of at least six Bard Units within a twelve-month period, thereby supporting the agency's mission to maintain a conducive learning environment through effective climate control.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for replacing existing Bard Units with new units, which may include heat pump and air conditioning models with auxiliary electric heat. The scope includes:
- Replacement of a minimum of six Bard Units within one year.
- Removal and disposal of existing units from UCPS property.
- Installation of new Wall Hung Units (Bard or Solair) rated at 2.5 Tons with dehumidification capabilities.
- Each new unit must be equipped with a Honeywell T6 Programmable Thermostat or equivalent, which must comply with UCPS Energy Guidelines.
- The project is required to be turn-key, meaning all aspects from removal to installation must be managed by the contractor.
- All work must adhere to applicable codes and regulations, and the contractor must have at least 10 years of relevant experience.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for one calendar year, starting from the date of award, with an option for UCPS to extend for additional years based on performance and price negotiations.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Union County Public Schools in Monroe, NC.
