Asheville High School Fence Expansion Project

Background
Asheville City Schools is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to submit proposals for the Asheville High School Fence Expansion Project. The project aims to enhance security and delineate property boundaries through the installation of new fencing at Asheville High School, located at 419 McDowell St, Asheville, NC 28803.

This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of approximately 680 linear feet of 8-foot tall, 9-gauge black vinyl-coated chain link fencing along Victoria Road, including a bottom rail with all posts set in concrete.
- Removal and disposal of approximately 127 linear feet of existing 6-foot tall galvanized chain link fence near the Old Gym, including a gate leading to the Baseball Field.
- Installation of approximately 127 linear feet of new 8-foot tall, 9-gauge black vinyl-coated chain link fencing with a bottom rail and three strands of slick wire on top.
- Installation of one 3-foot walk gate at the sidewalk and one 16-foot double drive gate at the roadway, both in black vinyl.

All waste must be transported off-site and disposed of at an approved location. The contractor is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits and fees associated with this project.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as determined by the contractor's proposal, with all work to be completed by February 17, 2025.
