Proposals must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. The security will be forfeited as liquidated damages if a bidder fails to execute a contract and post Performance and Payment Bonds within the specified time. All bids submitted must comply with Mississippi Code Sections 31-3-15 and 31-3-21 for construction work exceeding $50,000.
