Construction of Roadway Improvement - Hattiesburg City Roads

Background
The City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in collaboration with the Office of State Aid Road Construction and the Mississippi Department of Transportation, is issuing a solicitation for the construction of roadway improvements as part of the Midtown Streetscape Project (Project #DECD-0018(36)BO).

The project aims to enhance city roads including Chevy Chase Drive, 30th Ave, 31st Ave, Arlington Loop, and Lorraine Street. The goal is to improve infrastructure and aesthetics in the area.

Work Details
The contract includes approximately 0.784 miles of roadway improvement with various principal items of work including:
- Mobilization: 1 LS
- Clearing and Grubbing: 1 LS
- Removal of Inlets, Headwalls & Junction Boxes (All Types & Sizes): 6 UN
- Removal of Ground Mounted Signs with Post: 9 UN
- Removal of Trees: 30 UN
- Removal of Curb & Gutter (All Types): 775 LF
- Removal of Pavement (All Types & Depths): 2900 SY
- Unclassified Excavation: 75 CY
- Hot Mix Asphalt (Various Mixtures): Totaling approximately 1825 TON across different specifications.
- Concrete Sidewalk: 915 SY
- Various utility works including water main installations and adjustments.
- Landscaping items including planting various shrubs and trees.
- Erosion control items such as topsoil for slope treatment and temporary silt fences.

Additionally, lighting items include installation of traffic signal conduits and low mast LED lighting assemblies.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 200 working days from the date of notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted within the City limits of Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi.
