Description

To assist Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Primary Care and Rural Health in the development and implementation of the Missouri Donated Dental Services Program. To establish dental services and laboratory dental fabrication for Missourians with seriously neglected dental problems, including Missourians who are medically compromised, disabled, or elderly, who have no other means of pay for dental care. The National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH) is considered a single feasible source because they are the only provider in the State of Missouri for the Donated Dental Services (DDS) program. The Missouri State Statutes, Section 332.324.2 states, the Department of Health and Senior Services shall contract with the Missouri dental board, its designee or other qualified organizations experienced in providing similar services or programs, to administer the program.
