Small Business Development Center Consulting Services

Background
The South-Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is seeking proposals from individuals or consulting firms to provide business consulting services aimed at assisting small businesses in specific counties of Minnesota. The SBDC's mission is to support the growth and development of small businesses by providing technical assistance and expertise.

Work Details
Contractors will provide consulting services across various categories, including:

1. Business Planning and Operations (e.g., capital access, workforce capacity, inventory management);
2. Accounting (e.g., financial planning, budget development);
3. Marketing (e.g., website development, eCommerce);
4. Hospitality Industry Finance and Operations;
5. Human Resources;
6. Government Contracting;
7. Exporting;
8. Startup and early-stage business consulting;
9. Turnaround Management;
10. Childcare/Dependent Care Finance and Operations;
11. Early-Stage Technology Finance and Market Research;
12. Healthcare Services Finance and Operations;
13. Business Succession Planning/Valuation/Selling a Business;
14. Cybersecurity Awareness/Risk Management.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with an option for one additional year.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided to small businesses located in Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Suer, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca, and Watonwan Counties in Minnesota.

Bidder Requirements
All Contractors must reside within the state of Minnesota and are required to sign a conflict of interest and confidentiality agreement as part of the SBDC’s Code of Conduct Agreement.
