Background
Normandale Community College is seeking proposals for the installation and repair of electrical systems and components. The college aims to ensure that all electrical systems meet performance criteria and adhere to safety standards, thereby enhancing the reliability and efficiency of its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring that all electrical systems meet specified performance criteria, such as voltage, current, and power ratings.
2. Adhering to safety standards from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
3. Designing systems for high reliability with minimal downtime.
4. Providing easy maintenance with clear documentation and accessible components.
5. Ensuring compatibility with existing systems and infrastructure.
6. Specifying materials and components such as wiring, circuit breakers, and transformers.
7. Following industry standards for installation from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Building Code (IBC).
8. Including requirements for testing and commissioning to verify installations meet specifications.
9. Providing detailed documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
10. Designing systems to operate efficiently in local environmental conditions.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2025, with a duration of three years and an option for a one-year extension.

The services will be performed at Normandale Community College located in Minnesota.
