Traffic Delineator Posts

Background
The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) is seeking qualified suppliers to provide Traffic Delineator Posts as part of a larger initiative by the Department of Transportation (DDOT) to enhance bus service and amenities along the E Jefferson Avenue corridor.

This procurement aims to ensure safety and visibility on roadways through the provision of durable delineator posts.

Work Details
The contract involves furnishing and delivering delineator posts, bases, and bolts for secure mounting on roadways.

The delineator posts must be cylindrical with a diameter of 3 inches, constructed from one-piece molded polyurethane, capable of withstanding a minimum of 100 direct wheel-over impacts at 70 MPH without failure. They should remain flexible at temperatures as low as -40°F. Each post will feature 360° visibility with two sheets of reflective sheeting in colors such as white, green, and yellow.

The bases for the posts will measure 7 inches by 7 inches and include four reusable hex anchor bolts for secure mounting. The contract specifies delivery of:
- 2,564 green delineator posts with white AR1000 sheeting and standard top caps,
- 2,564 square bases in green,
- 10,256 hex anchor bolts (asphalt), washers, and plugs.

Period of Performance
The delivery of products is expected to begin as early as April 2025, with responsibilities for storage and staging extending up to November 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within the City of Detroit.
