School Clock and Intercom System

Background
The Manchester Community School District (MCS) is seeking to upgrade its school clock technology by implementing a synchronized clock system across all classrooms and hallways. The goal is to enhance the current system with IP-based solutions that allow for alert notifications, thereby improving communication and safety within the school environment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a new connected clock system for all classrooms and hallways that can be synced from a single panel. Additionally, an alternate proposal should include an IP-based intercom and alerting system. Specific requirements include:

- Installation of 41 classroom wall clocks and double-sided hallway clocks.
- Management solution for controlling the time on all clocks from one interface.
- Cabling work, including inspection and utilization of existing cabling, as well as installation of new wiring if necessary.
- Professional development training for staff on the new clock system, with a minimum of 2 hours required (6 hours as an alternate).
- Operation and maintenance manuals in both written and electronic formats.
- A warranty of 24 months on workmanship for deinstallation of existing equipment and installation of new equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to begin with wiring installations in late June or early July 2025. Equipment installations will start on July 28, 2025, with full installation completion by August 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Manchester Community Schools district in Manchester, MI.
