Rebound Bid: ARPA-Design/Build Mt Elliott Senior Center Renovations

Background
The City of Detroit is seeking qualified vendors to provide additional environmental services as part of the renovations for the Mt Elliott Senior Center.
This contract aims to address hazardous and environmental concerns identified in previous environmental reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Design and installation of a vapor mitigation system throughout the facility, including approximately six 5-inch sub-slab suction points under the building.
- Installation of 4-inch schedule 40 PVC piping from sub-slab suction points to exterior, ensuring a minimum height of 24 inches above the roofline and securing the piping.
- Provision and installation of two non-powered wind turbine ventilators.
- Initial and follow-up testing of the vapor mitigation system, including up to four samples for TO-15 analysis.
- Documentation of due care throughout construction, covering excavations and backfill emplacement.
- Development and submission of a Due Care Plan based on the site plan post-construction, outlining ongoing maintenance responsibilities and environmental compliance.
- Obtaining necessary permits to fulfill the scope of services.
- Providing status updates throughout construction, attending coordination meetings, preparing reports, and other related tasks.
