Demolition of 111 Railroad Street and 708 South Red Bud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107

Background
The Berrien County Community Development Department is seeking bids for the demolition of two properties located at 111 Railroad Street and 708 South Red Bud Trail in Buchanan, Michigan.
The project is overseen by the Berrien County Land Bank Authority, whose mission includes revitalizing communities through property management and development.
The goal of this contract is to safely demolish the specified structures as part of community development efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition of the following structures:
1. Feed Mill located at 111 Railroad Street
2. Tire Shop located at 708 South Red Bud Trail

The work includes but is not limited to:
- Hazardous materials abatement (including asbestos removal)
- Site clearing and grubbing
- Building demolition
- Excavation and disposal of contaminated soils
- Backfill and compaction
- Erosion and surface water control
- Site restoration including placement of seed, mulch, and fertilizer.

Period of Performance
The work under this contract shall commence immediately after receiving the Notice of Award from the OWNER and must be completed within 100 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
